6. Intellectual Property

All website content—including text, images, designs, and branding—is the property of GLYI unless otherwise stated.

Custom designs produced by GLYI remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Project Terms and Client Responsibilities

a. Scope of Work

All work is based on the agreed scope defined in the project contract. Work outside of this scope constitutes a change order.

b. Change Orders

  • All changes must be submitted and approved in writing

  • Changes may affect cost, materials, and timelines

  • We reserve the right to accept or decline requested changes

c. Materials and Substitutions

  • Materials are selected based on design intent, performance, and availability

  • If materials become unavailable or unsuitable, we may substitute comparable materials of equal or greater quality

  • Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate

d. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete project information

  • Ensure safe and reasonable access to the vessel or worksite

  • Make timely decisions and approvals

Delays caused by the client may result in additional costs and revised timelines.

e. Site Conditions and Marine Environment

Marine environments involve factors including:

  • Movement and vibration

  • Moisture and humidity

  • Temperature fluctuations

  • Sun and UV exposure

While materials and construction methods are selected to withstand these conditions, performance may vary depending on use and environment.

f. Delays and Unforeseen Conditions

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Supply chain disruptions

  • Weather conditions

  • Undisclosed or unforeseen vessel conditions

  • Third-party contractors or services

Timelines are estimates and may be adjusted as required.

8. Warranty

a. Workmanship and Manufacturing Warranty

We provide a three (3) year warranty from the date of project completion covering:

  • Workmanship

  • Manufacturing defects in materials supplied by GLYI

This warranty applies under normal use and conditions.

b. Environmental Exposure Warranty

We provide a one (1) year warranty covering:

  • Water-related damage

  • Sun and UV exposure

  • General weather-related effects

c. Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Negligence, misuse, or abuse

  • Damage caused by clients, guests, or third parties

  • Improper or lack of maintenance

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Modifications or repairs by others

  • Accidental damage or impacts

  • Environmental conditions beyond normal marine exposure

d. Warranty Claims

  • Claims must be submitted in writing within the applicable warranty period

  • We will assess and determine appropriate repair or replacement

We reserve the right to repair, replace, or otherwise resolve valid claims at our discretion.

e. Limitation of Warranty

Warranty is limited to repair or replacement of defective work and does not include:

  • Loss of use

  • Travel or service costs

  • Haul-out or vessel access costs

  • Indirect or consequential damages
