About Us
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Great Lakes Yacht Interiors is a design and build studio focused on creating refined, functional, and highly personalized interiors for life on the water. We specialize in transforming vessels into spaces that feel intentional—balancing aesthetics, durability, and the unique demands of marine environments.
Every project begins with understanding how the space will actually be lived in. From there, we develop thoughtful layouts, material selections, and construction details that bring clarity and cohesion to the entire interior.
Our work is grounded in craftsmanship. With a fully equipped shop and hands-on fabrication process, we maintain control over quality from concept through installation. This allows us to execute complex designs with precision while ensuring every detail aligns with the original vision.
Our goal is to deliver a space that feels considered, performs reliably, and stands apart in both form and function.

Our Story
Great Lakes Yacht Interiors grew out of a lifelong focus on building and material craftsmanship.
Keon, founder of GLYI, began working with wood at an early age and developed a deep appreciation for how materials come together—not just structurally, but visually. That foundation led to the creation of KNK Kreations, where years were spent designing and building custom pieces with a strong emphasis on precision, problem-solving, and finish quality.
Over time, the work naturally evolved toward more complex, design-driven projects—spaces where layout, usability, and aesthetics all intersect. Yacht interiors represent exactly that challenge.
GLYI was created to bring that experience into a more specialized field: designing and building interiors that must perform in a demanding environment while still feeling warm, refined, and tailored to the client.
Today, every project reflects that same core approach—thoughtful design, careful material selection, and hands-on execution—resulting in interiors that are not only built well, but built with purpose.
